What is a digital subscription, and what is included?

A Southern Star digital subscription offers subscribers unlimited access to southernstar.ie on desktop, tablet or mobile. This includes full access to The Southern Star app to access our weekly ePaper. Subscribers have unlimited access to:

ePaper access – exact digital replica of our print edition at 6.30 every Thursday morning.

Exclusive app which allows you to read on any device, any time, any place and download editions to read on the go. (Google Play Store & Apple)

The Big Story – subscriber-only long reads and deep dives, also in audio and video formats.

Curated newsletters straight to your inbox, packed with the latest updates, trends, and expert opinions.

Full access to all our premium West Cork news and sport content – special reports, features, magazines, supplements & more!

How do I subscribe?

Visit southernstar.ie/subscribe, choose a plan and follow the instructions on screen. Alternatively contact [email protected] and we can help you out.

How do I access the weekly ePaper?

You can access your ePaper on our website via https://www.southernstar.ie/epaper or else by using The Southern Star app on your mobile or tablet. (Google Play Store & Apple)

How do I download The Southern Star App?

You can download the iOS App here.

I’ve forgotten my password. How do I change it?

Visit subscribe.southernstar.ie/password/reset and enter the email address associated with your account.

How do I update my payment details?

Visit subscribe.southernstar.ie/profile, scroll down to ‘Saved Credit Card’ and click ‘change’.

What billing name will I see on my statement if I subscribe?

Southern Star.

How will my digital subscription be renewed?

If you have chosen our monthly option, your subscription will be automatically renewed every 30 days on a rolling basis. If you have chosen our annual option, your subscription will be automatically renewed after 365 days.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Visit subscribe.southernstar.ie/profile and click ‘cancel subscription’. Alternatively contact [email protected] and we can help you out.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

You retain access to your subscription for the remainder of your billing period. This period varies depending on when you cancel – your subscription will automatically expire at the end of your billing period.
