All-Star Cork footballer chats O'Donovan brothers, Usain Bolt and Prison Break!

All-Star Kinsale ladies footballer Orla Finn enjoyed a tremendous 2016 – but there’s one reason why she can’t wait for 2017 … the new series of Prison Break!

Q. If you could relive one sporting moment from 2016, what would it be and why?

I couldn’t pick between winning the All-Ireland with Cork and winning the county with Kinsale! Winning an inter-county All-Ireland is always a great feeling and winning the junior A with my friends I grew up with was really special.

Q. Picture this: Olympic silver medallists Gary and Paul O’Donovan are in a 100m sprint on land – who wins and why?

Paul wins. Gary would be distracted by the females watching the race!

Q. What will you miss most about 2016?

Two of my closest friends are going to Australia, I’ll miss having them around!

Q. Describe Conor McGregor in one word:

Controversial.

Q. Outside of your sport, what sporting moment from 2016 captured your imagination?

The O’Donovan brothers winning silver. It was amazing and the whole of Ireland was captivated by it.

Q. If you could go for New Year’s Eve drinks with three sports people – local, national or international – who would you pick?

Usain Bolt, Jessica Ennis and James Masters – three great athletes!

Q. What local sports star should we keep an eye on next year?

Sadhbh O’Leary. She’s a team-mate of mine in Kinsale with a big future ahead of her. I’ll be watching over my shoulder hoping that she doesn’t take my position!

Q. Any advice to get over the January blues?

Get outdoors, exercise is key in January.

Q. Finish the sentence: In 2017 I want to …. watch the new series of Prison Break. I can’t wait!
