Club will also hold FAI Fun Day next Tuesday
CHIEF executive John Delaney will lead an FAI delegation to Skibbereen AFC this Friday evening as part of the FAI’s Festival of Football and AGM that are being held in Cork for the first time.
Delaney and FAI President Tony Fitzgerald together with some former Irish men’s internationals and current women’s internationals will visit Skibbereen on Friday at 5.45pm.
The special guests will watch some of Skibb’s finest young talents display their skills, while a full review of the current facilities as well as a study of the longer-term plans for the club will be undertaken with the FAI also.
In the past, Ray Houghton, John Aldridge and Ronnie Whelan along with current women’s internationals such as Stephanie Roche, Leanne Kiernan and Katie McCabe have all visited Skibbereen AFC.
Then next Tuesday, August 14th, the club will host an FAI Fun Day next Tuesday from 2pm to 5pm. This free fun event will be packed with different activities for kids and all are encouraged to come along and join in. Skibb is one of only four venues in Cork selected to host an FAI Fun Day, and the only club in West Cork chosen, and fun-filled hours are guaranteed.
