Former Cork hurler Ross Cashman (28) captained Kilbrittain to South West junior B hurling glory recently. And he absolutely nailed his speech afterwards. Absolutely …

How would your best friend describe you? Quiet and laid back.

Who was your sporting hero when you were 10 years old? Alan Shearer and Dan O’Connell.

Tell us a funny story from your childhood: I had enough hair for about ten kids so that always gave people a laugh.

Where would you recommend for a weekend away? You can’t go wrong with Killarney.

If you were on an island and could only bring three things, what would you bring? Burgers, chips and ketchup.

If you could go back in time, where would you go and why? Back to college in CIT, I’d just be back for Freshers’ Week.

What song best describes you? The Logical Song by Scooter.

What is your least favourite word? ‘Absolutely’. I over used it in a speech once.

What’s your favourite knock-knock joke?

Knock, knock! Who’s there? Snow. Snow who? Snow use. I forgot my name again!

What’s the world’s greatest invention? The phone, I love being up to date with all the social media.

If you know you’d die tomorrow, how would you spend your last day? One big party with all my family and friends, and to figure out how to stay alive for another day.

A penguin walks into the room wearing a sombrero, why is he wearing it and what does he say? He’s wearing it ‘cos he’s on holidays and he’s looking for a pint!
