Bandon man features in Republic of Ireland senior squad for the second time

BANDON’S Conor Hourihane has been named in the Republic of Ireland provisional squad for the World Cup qualifier against Austria in Vienna on November 12th.

The Barnsley captain is one of 35 players named in the squad by manager Martin O’Neill.

Hourihane was also named in the provisional Ireland squad for the recent qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova, but didn’t make the final cut.

The West Cork man was named the EFL Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for August after a terrific start to the season for Barnsley.
The Ireland squad is due to train at the FAI National Training Centre before leaving for Vienna on Thursday, November 10th.
