West Cork club dominates Irish team for first international of 2017

SKIBBEREEN Rowing Club will supply five of Ireland’s six rowers at the first international event of 2017 – World Rowing Cup I in Belgrade on May 5-7.
Olympic silver medallists Gary and Paul O’Donovan will compete in the men’s lightweight double, Mark O’Donovan and Shane O’Driscoll will race in the men’s lightweight pair with Denise Walsh to feature in the women’s lightweight single.
The only non-Skibbereen RC rower on the Rowing Ireland High Performance Team for this event in Serbia is Sanita Puspure (Old Collegians BC).
