Nemo man had stepped down as manager in August

LESS than seven weeks after he stepped down as Cork ladies’ senior football manager, Ephie Fitzgerald has performed a U-turn and agreed to stay in the role for the next two years.
Cork LGFA tweeted on Thursday morning: ‘We are delighted to announce that Nemo Rangers’ Ephie Fitzgerald was ratified last nite by the Cork LGFA Exec Committee as Manager of the Senior Ladies Squad on a 2 year Term subject to ratification at the October County Board Meeting.’
After four years in charge Fitzgerald had stepped down after Cork’s All-Ireland semi-final loss to champions Dublin in Croke Park on August 25th. He led Cork to All-Ireland glory in 2016, and this season Cork won the Division 1 league title and the Munster championship.
