CORK football manager Brian Cuthbert has welcomed Ronan McCarthy’s return as a selector to the county’s senior football management team.
Ronan McCarthy had stepped back from the role last August due to work and other commitments.
Cuthbert said: ‘we are delighted to welcome Ronan back to our management team. It was always the intention that Ronan would return to the management team later in the season but circumstances facilitate an immediate return. Ronan will be a big asset to the group going forward’.
The Douglas clubman had been part of the management set-up for two years previously. During his playing days with Cork, the former defender won two Munster SFC medals and an Allianz league medal and was corner-back in the 1999 All-Ireland final team.
