Cork are through to their fifth Munster senior football final in a row
IT’S going to be Cork v Kerry in next month’s Munster senior football final in Killarney on July 5th following their semi-final wins on Sunday.
Cork, as expected, were too strong for Clare as they won 1-20 to 1-8 in a semi-final at Pairc Ui Rinn, with Donncha O’Connor scoring 1-5 and Colm O’Neill adding 0-5 for the home side who led 0-10 to 0-4 at the break.
Cathal O’Connor pulled a goal back for injury-hit Clare in the second half but O’Connor’s penalty meant that Cork eased to a comfortable win.
Kerry, meanwhile, were too strong for Peter Creedon’s Tipperary in Thurles as they won 2-14 to 2-8 in the other semi-final.
