Talented West Cork striker makes an impact off the bench in league win
BY KIERAN McCARTHY
KEALKIL’S Connor Ellis scored his first senior league goal for Cork City on Friday night.
The former West Cork Schoolboys League starlet netted City’s fourth goal in their 4-0 home win against Galway United at Turner’s Cross, producing a cool finish with almost the last kick of the game after coming on as a late sub.
The talented striker, a former West Cork Youth Sports Star, signed a new contract with Cork City in January and he’s expected to feature for John Caulfield’s team this season.
In the second half of last season, Ellis scored five goals in 12 games on loan with Cobh Ramblers.
