Dunmanway man runs in first-half try for Munster
DUNMANWAY'S Darren Sweetnam scored his first PR012 try for Munster tonight - but it wasn't enough to prevent a 37-28 defeat away to Cardiff at the Arms Park.
Former Doheny and Cork senior hurler Sweetnam (22) was starting his sixth PRO12 game in a row for Munster and he ran in their first try early in the opening half, but Cardiff responded well, led by Rhys Patchell, who scored 19 points.
This loss dents Munster's bid to make the Pro12 play-offs. They stay fifth in the table.
