BANDON’S Conor Hourihane was presented with his Celtic Ross West Cork Sports Star of the Month award for May on Wednesday evening.
Joining by family and friends at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Conor was a hugely popular winner as he was honoured for his fantastic achievements across the water with Barnsley FC in League One.
The talented 24-year-old midfielder joined the club last summer, from Plymouth where he was captain, and he enjoyed a terrific debut season with the Tykes.
Conor was named the club’s Fans’ Player of the Year, he finished the season as Barnsley’s top goalscorer (14), he had the most assists (15) of any Barnsley player and he also played the most for the club last season (53 appearances, 46 in the league, seven in cup competitions).
Congrats Conor and best of luck for next season!
