Four Bantry ABC boxers won county titles to bring more glory back to the West Cork club.
The Desmond brothers, Jack (15) and James (14), retained their respective titles and their 11-year-old brother Paddy was involved in a terrific final in his first year of competition which saw him emerge as a runner-up after a very close-fought contest.
Zack Coakley won his first county title in the Boy 4 46kg division. Keelan Lynch won his semi-final to the 57kg 15-year-old final, where he ended up as a runner-up.
Thirteen-year-old Soni Gaffney put on a spectacular display of boxing to win his 37kg final in one of the performances of the weekend.
The four champions now advance to the Munster Boxing Championships which will be held in Dungarvan for the 14- to 16-year olds, and in Limerick for the 11- to 13-year olds.
