BANDON AFC were crowned Munster Senior League Division 1 champions on Saturday after a 3 – 1 home win against Mayfield.
It means that the West Cork club, also promoted back to the MSL Premier Division at the first attempt, are MSL champions for the first time in the club’s history – a fantastic feat.
Bandon’s terrific win over a Mayfield team that was also promoted saw Peter Jones’ heroes finish the Division 1 league campaign on 38 points, two ahead of Mayfield in second place.
