MET Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for West Cork which comes into effect on Friday, February 21st.
'Very strong and gusty southerly winds' will hit the region starting from 04.00am on Friday until 08.00am the same morning.
Potential impacts:
• Some fallen trees or branches
• Difficult travelling conditions
• Debris, loose objects displaced
Update 16.25pm:
Met Éireann has updated the status yellow wind warning to include 'heavy rainfall'.
Localised flooding is now also a concern.
