A SKIBBEREEN shop has scooped yet another Lottery winner – becoming one of the county’s luckiest retailers.
The anonymous winner – who scooped €500,000 in the EuroMillions – bought her lucky €3 Quick Pick ticket in Londis on Bridge Street in Skibbereen.
The National Lottery agent is proving to be a lucky spot for players because in December 2000 they sold a Lotto jackpot winning ticket worth €1.9m and again, in September 2005, they sold a Lotto Plus 1 top prize-winning ticket worth €300,000.
Last week’s winner, a local, said she had just €3 left in her pocket, when she opted to try her luck.
She collected a cheque for €500,000 – her prize from the EuroMillions Plus draw on Tuesday March 24th.
The delighted winner, who wishes to keep her identity private said: ‘I play EuroMillions now and again but that day I just felt really lucky. Now I’ve a cheque for €500,000!’
