Council workers are hold four hour work stoppages today across West Cork in a dispute with management over their refusal to recruit more staff.
SIPTU members in the Roads and Drivers Sections of Cork County Council are staging four hour work stoppages from 8.30am to 12.30pm today in an ongoing dispute with management over their refusal to recruit more staff. Stirkes are taking place in Council depots across West Cork including Skibbereen, Bantry and Bandon. The industrial actions means the SIPTU workers will not engage or co-operate with transporting private contractors, excluding digger drivers. See more in this week's paper.
