MET ÉIREANN has issued a status orange wind warning for West Cork with gale force winds turning in a westerly direction resulting in 'severe, damaging and destructive winds with gusts of up to 130km/h widely, with even higher gusts for a time.'
The warning is in place from 02.00am on Friday the 24th of January until 05.00pm the same day.
