IARNRÓD Éireann advises that no services will operate between Kent Station and Mallow Station on Saturday, 19th October, and Sunday, 20th October due to essential maintenance works.
Replacement bus services will run between Kent Station and Mallow Station on these dates and will accept valid rail tickets.
Along with ongoing works on a new through platform at Kent Station, new signalling across the full Cork Commuter network and the twin-tracking of the Glounthaune to Midleton line, these essential works will help to facilitate the proposed capacity and service frequency increases, with the potential to treble existing service frequency to a 10-minute frequency on all Cork commuter routes in the future.
