A GROUP of 16 West Cork businesswomen have formed a committee to steer the newest branch of Network Ireland into the future.

The formation of the West Cork branch in March was noteworthy because Cork is now the only county in the country with two branches.

Network Ireland – which works to support the professional and personal development of women – was established in 1983 and has 1,000 members with 15 branches across Ireland.

The new branch committee in West Cork includes treasurer Katherine O’Sullivan of O’Donnell Design and Catherine Clooney of Catherine
Clooney Facial Reflexology.

The organisation’s PRO is Orla Clancy of AM O’Sullivan PR; and includes Sarah Leather of Transformational Business Coach; membership officer Maeve Buckley of AIB; meeting officer Sarah Abbott of The People Practice; social media officer Tina Darb of Spearline Risk and Compliance.

The events coordinator is Yvonne Cahalane; the social media officer is Caroline Leonard of Spearline Risk and Compliance; the president is Adrienne Harrington of The Ludgate Hub.

The committee includes awards officer Maeve McCarthy of Charles McCarthy Estate Agents and Valuers, and awards officer is Ruth Field of Fields of Skibbereen.

The committee’s vice-president is Ciara Lucy of Spearline Risk and Compliance, the secretary Michelle Ryan of Global Shares, the membership database officer Anna Healy, and the life and business coach and e-zine officer is Orla Cahalane.

Network Ireland West Cork holds networking events for members and guests in different locations in West Cork on the last Wednesday of every month.

The organisation currently has over 50 members and it is open to new members from across West Cork.
