GARDAÍ are investigating the sudden death of a man in his late 40s at a house near the town centre in Skibbereen.
GARDAÍ are investigating the sudden 'suspicious' death of a man in his late 40s at a house near the town centre in Skibbereen.
The incident occurred at a private residence at High St in Skibbereen at approximately 9am this morning, (Monday) September 25th.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination and the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has been notified.
The post-mortem will determine the direction of the investigation. Investigations are ongoing, local gardaí confirmed. One member of the gardaí described the death as 'suspicious'.
A car park across from the house is also being treated as a crime scene. It is adjacent to Skibbereen Garda Station.
It is believed the deceased may have been a foreign national.
