SKIBBEREEN’S Ludgate is looking for new staff, including a business development manager, to realise its next ambition.
Its plan is to open a second state-of-the-art location which will create 400 new jobs. To make this happen, Ludgate is hiring four new staff to drive its job creation programme.
The first post to be filled is that of business development manager, with the main responsibly being to attract companies to locate in West Cork.
Ludgate chairman John Field said: ‘This is a very exciting time for Ludgate. Within three years of opening, Ludgate is already home to 55 people who use the hub as their place of work. We are now planning for a second location, and I am confident that we will continue to attract companies to work in West Cork.’
Over 100 new jobs have already been created in Skibbereen as a result of the 1GB connectivity, powered by Vodafone and Siro. This creates an additional €13m income to the West Cork economy, but also helps to create sustainable communities across the region.
Adrienne Harrington, Ludgate CEO added: ‘We are now looking for someone to market and sell West Cork. Our cities are at capacity and we here in West Cork can offer a very real alternative, with lower business costs. We also offer an incredible quality of life for those choosing to live here.’
More information is available at ludgate.ie/careers. The closing date for applications is May 29th.
