The group have teamed up with Clean Coasts for their 'Plastic Oceans' campaign.
Dublin rock group The Riptide Movement appeared on Today FM's The Last Word with Matt Cooper on Monday evening in a bid to raise awareness of plastic in our oceans.
During the course of the ten minute discussion, lead singer Mal Tuohy brought listeners attention to the campagin being run by http://saveourskibbereen.ie/ that aims to prevent a plastics factory being built on the Baltimore Road.
Planning for the factory has been sought by Danny Miles who is the vice-president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, of the RTP Company.
