Storm Hannah with gusts of up to 130km/h is currently battering West Cork and has caused a few power outages. So far, we have heard of faults in Macroom, Glenagarriff and the Ballydehob area. Check back for more updates later.
SATURDAY, APRIL 26th
UPDATE at 10.20am: One of the faults that occurred in the Ballydehob area last evening is not fixed yet and the 77 customers affected are due to have power restored by 4pm today.
In the Bantry area, south west of Durrus, 19 customers hope to have their power back by 6.30pm this evening.
There are five faults being repaired on the Beara Peninsula and it is hoped to have all fixed and power restored by early to mid-afternoon today.

FRIDAY, APRIL 25th
UPDATE at 9.25pm: It now looks like 83 customers still without power in the Castletownbere area may not have their power restored until 2.15pm on Saturday afternoon.
UPDATE at 9.20pm: About 30 customers stiil not reconnected after the big outage in the Macroom-Beal na Blath area have had the estimated time of restoration pushed back to 2pm on Saturday.
UPDATE at 8.35pm: A fault in Castletownbere area, affecting almost 300 customers, is expected to be fixed by 10.15pm
UPDATE at 8.25pm: Fault affecting 77 customers in Ballydehob-Schull area should be repaired by 10pm
UPDATE at 7.15pm: 307 customers are now affected by a fault in the Glengarriff areas and it is hoped to have their power restored by 10.30pm.
Over 1,000 customers without mains power in the Lissarda / Beal na Blath area
87 customers are affected by a fault in Kealkil near Coomhola, 10.45pm restoration
UPDATE at 7pm: Almost 1,500 customers in the Macroom area are affected by an electricity service interruption as a result of a fault caused by Storm Hannah’s strong winds. ESB crews are working to repair the fault and they hope to have power restored by 9.45pm.
130 customers are affected by two faults in the Ballydehob area also and the ESB hopes to have power back there by 10pm tonight.
