OSCAR winner and West Cork resident Jeremy Irons has visited Kolkata with Irish-based charity The Hope Foundation.
The legendary actor who lives in Kilcoe Castle has been a patron of HOPE for many years and this was his first visit to Kolkata to witness the work of HOPE first-hand.
Jeremy said: ‘There is a truth in giving, a truth about humanity, a truth which reveals itself through a simple act of goodwill.
‘The truth is that we have the potential and the power to do so much good in a time of great need and to make a tangible difference,’ he added,
Meanwhile, the 2019 International Rose of Tralee Sinead Flanagan was also part of the trip.
