A TOTAL of thirteen West Cork businesswomen have marked the completion of an intensive three-month course which saw them put through their paces before successfully launching their reinvigorated businesses.
The Women in Business programme, which is funded and managed by the Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West, helped women from a diverse range of business sectors in West Cork to realise the potential in their business and plan for future growth.
The programme, which began in September was aimed at women who have been in business for a minimum of one year and those employing up to 10 employees. The Local Enterprise Office’s contracted agents for the programme delivery were Jackie Gowran and Sheila Anne O’Leary of Business IQ.
Participants were provided with the tools they need to grow and develop their commercial businesses including strategy, business plan, finance, raising money, marketing, sales, public relations, social media, and pitching.
