Lough Hyne Lappers will host their second Ice Bath Challenge from 10am until 12.30pm on Saturday December 23rd at the Farmers' Market in Skibbereen.

All proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Cancer Connect, West Cork.

Those taking part include swimming legend Steve Redmond, along with other seasoned swimmers, such as Noel Browne and Garry Minihane. All are welcome to watch or take part: you can jump in for 10 seconds, 10 minutes, or even an hour and do your bit for charity.

Anyone who feels like jumping in is asked to contact Noel Browne on 086 8545916, or Garry Minihane on 086 8328394 first. Last year’s event was a great success. It made people laugh, including Helen Collins who is seen in this photograph shovelling ice over a hardy Declan Newman.
