A GROUP of 150 volunteers from Eli Lilly volunteered at Tabor Lodge addiction centre near Belgooly for their Global Day of Service.
The aim of the day for Lilly is to give back and make life better for those around them while strengthening the local community.
Since the programme launched in 2008, each year more than 20,000 Eli Lilly employees worldwide spend the day out of the office, helping neighbours and communities in their area.
They spent the day landscaping the woodlands and grounds as well as painting the Tabor Lodge building and surrounding areas.
Tabor Group chief executive Dr Niall O’Keeffe said: ‘The work done by the Eli Lilly volunteers is incredible. It already has had such a positive impact on everyone here at Tabor Group and we cannot thank them enough.’
Tabor provides residential addiction treatment services and recovery to addicted people and their families. It provides support for those suffering from addiction to alcohol, substances, gambling and food.
