CORK County Council’s Writer in Residence for Libraries for this year is Denyse Woods. The programme aims to support creative writing activity in local areas, by providing engagement and interaction with people interested in writing, with the local library service as the centre for the programme. Denyse will provide a group workshop and one-to-one sessions with adult writers in five library locations including Ballyvourney, Dunmanway and Passage West libraries. Denyse, who also writes as Denyse Devlin, is the author of six novels. During her writing workshops participants can look forward to exploring their ideas and creativity in a friendly and supportive environment. She will focus on the essentials of good writing in order to bring out the very best from each writer.
