The Waterford Rescue 117 helicopter airlifted a seaman off a ship 100 miles off Mizen Head this morning.
Valentia Coast Guard confirmed that the medevac was for a crewman who sustained a broken wrist.
The Rescue 117 began its mission shortly after 10am this morning and the casualty was brought to CUH before lunchtime.
