From 10am onwards on Saturday, August 31st the local fire brigade crew will be hard at work at their annual charity car wash.
Last year, there was a drought and it was called off, but this year the people of Bantry can look forward with confidence to seeing the local fire brigade crew hard at work at their annual charity car wash.
From 10am onwards on Saturday, August 31st, the fire-fighting team will be working up a lather in front of the station at Wolfe Tone Square and demonstrating their very obvious skill with a power hose.
All of the money raised will go directly to a development fund for two local sporting organisations, Bantry Rugby Club and Bantry Rowing Club.
Station officer, Ian Vickery, said: ‘There’s no job too big or too small.’ Anything from a Mini to a Massey Ferguson can be made to look shiny and new!
