CLAIRE Sexton from Bandon has been selected to join the Dublin City University student ambassador team for the course of the 2017-18 academic year.
Student ambassadors are hired by the university to give prospective students an insight into life at DCU and combine their academic studies with their role as a student ambassador at numerous DCU events, on and off campus.
Claire is a third year sport science and health student at DCU and a former pupil of Sacred Heart Secondary School in Clonakilty.
The student ambassadors are in a position to give a real insight into life on campus and can talk from experience on academic life, social life, accommodation, supports services.
‘The student ambassadors play a hugely valuable role in the promotion of DCU and are a great support and resource for the student recruitment team,’ said a spokesperson.
