Detective dog Harvey assisted in the searches, which resulted in the seizure of the 7,000 smuggled cigarettes, branded ‘NZ’, and a car. A prosecution file is now being prepared.
A spokesperson for the Revenue said that the evasion of tax and duty is illegal and can have serious and costly consequences for those involved.
