Funding has been secured for a 52-seat bus to provide school transport for students in Ballineen and Enniskeane.
In a statement released today, Senator Tim Lombard said: 'Negotiations have now resulted in funding for a 52-seat bus – a substantial allocation which ensures that all children who required transport from Ballineen and Enniskeane have a seat on the school bus to Bandon.
'This extra bus was desperately required for the local area; many students requiring school transport were left without bus tickets when the school year started'.
