It provides a safe, confidential setting to explore your thoughts and feelings with a professional counsellor.
Our counselling service is available to anyone over the age of eighteen. Our referral process is open to health professionals and individuals can contact us directly.
Counselling can help if you are feeling troubled and finding life stressful.
There are many reasons why people choose to meet with a counsellor and they are unique to each individual.

Our service aims to make counselling affordable and accessible to people across the region.
In this regard a tiered fee system operates and guided by a persons means.
Following an initial consultation session, clients are offered a series of counselling sessions at a cost that is personally affordable.
Ability to pay will not be a barrier to accessing the service.
Sessions are available in our Dunmanway and Skibbereen centres.
Meeting with a counsellor can be availed of by face-to-face, online or phone consultation.
All persons presenting for counselling will receive a warm welcome and be provided with a therapeutic space to explore and work through the often complex issues that arise over the course of one’s life.
Unplanned / Crisis Pregnancy Counselling
This service is available to anyone experiencing or affected by an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. Counselling at WCCSS extends to partners, family and friends and is provided by accredited counsellors in a confidential, non-judgmental and non-directive manner.
All persons presenting for counselling will receive a warm welcome and be provided with a therapeutic space to explore and work through issues relating to your own unique circumstances.
Crisis pregnancy includes a pregnancy which has become a crisis because of a change in circumstance or having had a diagnosis i.e. fatal/foetal anomaly and support is needed.

Post Termination Counselling
This programme offers the highest standard of aftercare counselling to anyone who has experienced a termination of pregnancy.
It is available regardless of when the termination took place and extends to partners, family and friends.
This is available free of charge.
