NETWORK Ireland West Cork will be hosting an evening at the West Cork Film Studios on Thursday, April 10th, from 7pm to 9pm.
The event, titled Setting the Scene, offers a chance to explore the world of film and television production while connecting with fellow creatives and local businesses.
Co-founders and directors Édaín O’Donnell, Stephen Park, and Katherine O’Sullivan from the West Cork Film Studios will share their journey to success, the obstacles they’ve had to overcome, and offer their reflections on the evolving landscape of the global film and entertainment industry.
Since its inception the studio has attracted both international talent and local creators with its latest filming of Hokum starring Adam Scott, and the Hallmark movie Love of the Irish.
The region has attracted large-scale film productions in recent years with the Netflix series Bodkin and the TV adaption of Graham Norton’s award-winning novel Holding, garnering global attention and further highlighting West Cork’s growing reputation as a prime filming location.
Attendees will also enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the state-of-the-art film studio facilities, as well as ample networking opportunities with professionals from the creative and business sectors.
‘It will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, share insights, and build valuable relationships that can support and elevate your own business journey,’ said Anna Healy, Network Ireland West Cork president.
Tickets for the Setting the Scene event are free to all members of Network Ireland and €25 for non-members.
